Course System Home Terms Fall 2026 Group Tutorial: Projects in Education

Course Description

Summary

The proposal is to provide a quieter, more research-based approach to studies in education, paralleling our burgeoning licensure program, with students suggesting their own topics and readings, including but not limited to policy, curriculum design, innovative teaching methodologies, learning analytics, leadership, and child development. Faculty may provide secondary and tertiary texts, common to all, with immediate relevance to the projects in question, but the primary content of these sessions will be participant-driven. The most tangible outcome will be the submission of an informed project or presentation at the end of the term, but emphasis will be placed on the fleshing out of ideas rather than wrapping everything up in a nice ribbon.
