Course Description

Summary

In this course, students will gain a thorough understanding of mental health disorders as defined by the current DSM (DSM-5-TR). Topics include the classification, diagnosis, and treatment of mood, anxiety, psychotic, personality, and trauma-related disorders. Students will also explore the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to the development of mental health issues, with an emphasis on differential diagnosis and treatment planning.
