Summary

This is an environmental policy course with a focus on public action. The class will explore the dimensions of the production, use and disposal of plastics, including climate change impacts, alternatives to single-use plastic packaging, and the need for innovation. There will also be a focus on environmental justice.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will learn the details on the growing problem of plastic pollution and what students and community leaders can do about it.
