Course Description

Summary

Students in this course will explore the impact of culture, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and other factors on the counseling process. The course emphasizes developing cultural competence and sensitivity, as well as addressing issues of power, privilege, and oppression. Students will engage in self-reflection and case studies to deepen their understanding of working with diverse populations.
