Course Description

Summary

The goal of the course is to introduce students to material in the form of a symposium.  Students will engage deeply and intimately with ideas and texts presented by visiting artists/scholars and peers.  The symposium is also an opportunity for students to think through and discuss their own ideas, projects, concerns, and futures in relation to others.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will hone critical thinking skills.
  • Students will learn to identify societal structures shaping cultural thought and expression.
  • Students will be exposed to new research methodologies within the context of a symposium.
