Course Description

Summary

Part 1 of a Page to Stage design Process

Students will work collaboratively to develop design ideas in response to the script for next fall's faculty production. Generating ideas, research and designs all heavily steeped in collaboration and dramaturgy. 

Students should be comfortable researching, drawing/ sketching and interested in discussing how to make a text come to life in collaboration with the faculty director.

Part 2 of the course will take place in the fall term as we move from the designing process into fabrication and production.

Prerequisites

Students will have been asked to attend their class at the request of the Faculty directing the fall production and will need to be at an advanced level in their drama studies. Previous collaboration in independent or students shows is encouraged.
