Course Description

Summary

These technical applications, can lead you to a concept due to the design/practicality of said application.

This seven-week course is for students interested in developing their technical skills in woodworking, by introducing various tools, techniques, building methods, and design.  This class will help coach you to be confident, aware, and sufficient in the wood shop space. There will be fundamental introductions to woodworking and fastening, with a focus on understanding specific applications of these techniques. Processes such as joinery, shaping , joining, planing, finishing, bending, finding, and laminating will be covered. This course is project-based and students will be evaluated on their ability to use shop tools with proficiency and respect as well as understand safety procedures.
