Course Description

Summary

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct clinical assessments and develop accurate diagnoses. Topics include clinical interviewing, the use of standardized assessment tools, and the application of the current DSM (DSM-5-TR) criteria. Students will learn to integrate assessment data into comprehensive treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use issues.
