Course Description
Summary
This course builds upon the foundational imaginative capacities and technical screenwriting skills developed in the summer residency seminars. Students will develop the ability to identify and develop original characters who can sustain an original feature film story, find the basic shape of that story, then write a first draft. Weekly assignments lead to writing a short treatment and a first draft.
Prerequisites
Students must be accepted and enrolled in the MFA-LR Screenwriting program.
